Twente appears significantly weaker this season after selling their star player and last season’s top scorer, Sem Steijn, who netted 24 goals, to Feyenoord.
They haven’t made any reinforcements so far, and that has been reflected in both their preseason performances and their opening fixture defeat.
PSV also parted ways with their top striker, Luuk de Jong, who joined Porto, but they have already secured a replacement by signing Alassane Pléa from Borussia Mönchengladbach.
