Since the loss to Brighton in the Premier League three matches ago, Chelsea have consolidated their squad and performances.

Even without Palmer, they look quite good going forward and even better defensively, as shown in the game against Benfica in the Champions League, where they kept a clean sheet, and in the 0:3 win over Nottingham, as well as in their solid display against Liverpool at home.

Ajax, on the other hand, have not been in the same form as Chelsea quite the opposite. They are winless in their last three matches, both in the domestic league and the Champions League, conceding 2+ goals in each of them.
