FCSB’s form has been quite shaky this season, as they continue to perform below expectations in their domestic league. They recently lost 2:1 to newly promoted Metaloglobus and drew 1:1 with another newcomer, Csikzereda.

Their only positive result came in the Europa League, where they managed a hard-fought 0:1 victory over Go Ahead Eagles, a match in which they were outplayed in nearly every statistical category.

Bologna, on the other hand, had some defensive issues earlier in the season, but they seem to have stabilized recently, keeping two consecutive clean sheets in their domestic league against Cagliari and Pisa.
